Description

I did a thing.

Been working on tone stuff in class so I figured I'd play around with it some. And then this happened. On SAI it looks fine but I worry that on most screens it may be rather dark. Huh.

(Name just for name's sake. Found out after I named the file that it was also a movie. This has no relation, obviously.)

e: Went back and finally corrected the brightness of this piece since it was originally created on a monitor with wonky color settings.

This is an impressive piece of work.

It has the look of an oil painting, something which I can see as being more difficult to do in an electronic form.

The coloring is spot on perfect for the effect desired. The darker skies set a mood of sadness. The darker green hue matches the sky nicely. The think band of yellow gives an excellent horizon as a divider, and helps separate the upper and lower halves, making it more natural for my eyes to be drawn to Twilight sitting below, and the descending doom of the meteors above.

Vision: It seems the artist clearly knew exactly what was desired to be portrayed, and in this, he succeeded with flying colors. 5/5

Originality: Though this one is VERY well done, it is a theme I have seen often, though in this particular style, not so often. 4/5

Technique: Masterful! The piece has no flaws that I could see. The color choices, how they were blended, and the style it all was done in, made this piece simply outstanding. 5/5

Impact: All I could think when I saw this was, "WOW!" The quality of the details is extremely impressive, and when combined with the theme, it just hit me like a ton of bricks. 5/5 (would be 10/5, but they only allow five stars per category)
